Japanese IYM National Committee was closed when the IYM Report was published in 2003. The committee has been succeeded to YAMA-NET-JAPAN.

"Yama" denotes "mountain" in Japanese, and YAMA-NET-JAPAN would like to extend their relations to broader areas of organizations and individuals concerned with mountains.
